Heuristic Evaluation

Discovery

Expert review of the existing product against usability guidelines to determine what can be reduced, improved, or removed. More in-depth evaluations often include user scenarios with specific tasks that are analyzed against the guidelines to form a closer picture of the end-users' experience.

Example

This example is one page from a heuristic evaluation that I conducted for the HyVee Aisles Online program. The evaluation included going through tasks related to ordering groceries online and identifying areas of improvement as well as implemented best practices of note.
