A concise document, sometimes referred to as a Design Brief, useful for complex or undefined projects or features to clarify the project vision (why), requirements (what), and design principles (how). Briefs can also include sections such as problem definition, market/user research, description of the current solution, use cases/scenarios, constraints, integration considerations, and opportunities.

This example (blurred for privacy) is from a John Deere embedded display project for self-propelled sprayers. I created a project brief for each major feature of the display so that the feature's interaction design could properly account for all the requirements, behaviors, and integration points.
